KDx Process and Sample Reports
When you request a Genetic Profile, you will be asked to read and agree to the consent form during the checkout process. There are special restrictions by age and state that are outlined in the product details. If you do not have a physician code from a participating clinic, and you are not in a restricted state or of a restricted age, an independent physician will order the test on your behalf. Genetic counselors and physicians are available before and after testing if you have questions.
You will be sent a cheek swab collection kit. It contains two swabs and two vials, plus a pre-paid shipping envelope to send your sample back to the lab. Once the lab receives the sample, it takes 3-4 weeks to do the test. You will receive a secure, password protected email with your report. Click here to see the kit collection instructions. Detailed information about biomarker (routine blood chemistry) tests or test panels is found in the product details of the store. There are special restrictions by age and state that are outlined in the product details. If you do not have a physician code from a participating clinic, and you are not in a restricted state or of a restricted age, an independent physician will order the test on your behalf. You will be sent a test requisition by password protected, secure email for the test. Print out the test requisition and take it to your nearest blood test collection center. If there is no collection center near you, the test cost will be refunded. It takes 3-7 days for the results to come back from the lab. If the results of the test are very atypical, not just "borderline", the ordering physician will call you with detailed information on next steps with your primary care provider. If you used a participating clinic coupon code, expect that your clinic will follow up with you on the results. Physicians and other healthcare providers are available pre- and post- test to answer any questions.

The KDxome is treated as a screening test, not a test for diagnosis and treatment. It can only be requested with a participating clinic coupon code, meaning ordered by a participating physician, and requires pre- and post- test genetic counseling. More details are found in the product description or consent form. To find a participating clinic, call us at 1-888-722-7053.
